If you look at the nose of the shuttle, you can see it starting to rise.
Now the top of the tank begins to clear the top of the tower.
Roll maneuver initiated.
Roll almost completed.
Just before the solid rocker boosters separate.
At 2 minutes 3 seconds. SRB separation at an altitude of about 28 miles. The white light is the shuttle continuing to burn fuel from the large tank. Down range from KSC= 25.39 miles, Velocity= 3628 miles per hour (Mach 4)
Exhaust trail. It's all over in about 3 minutes.
Quite a contrast to all the NASA technology inherent in a launch. Snowy Egrets and an alligator in the wildlife refuge that surrounds the Kennedy Space Center.
