  • Caught this 8 pointer in front of the house as I was leaving for work.   He was a happy dude, checking out 4 does that were grazing on acorns.   I just grabbed the camera and shot with the manual settings I'd left from a shot the night before.   1600 ISO, 1/25 second, f/5.6, 200mm from the front seat of my vehicle.  You can see one of the does in the foreground. A second later he ran away.

  • First bambi of 2010 on April 21.  This little one was barely 12 inches tall, if that.  Shot through a dual pane window.  There was also a twin, but it was too fast and all I had time to do is grab the camera and shoot.
